Quarry Safety Passport
The Quarry Safety Passport Course is aimed at delegates who are working within the extractive, mineral processing and related manufacturing sectors. Developed and jointly run by the Mineral Products Qualifications Council (MPQC) and the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA), this course is designed to improve health and safety awareness.
This course is certificated by MPQC / SPA.
We accept SDS Individual Training Account (ITA) funding for this course.
MPQC/SPA Contractor Safety Passport
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with health and safety awareness, relating to the mineral extraction and products industry, before going to work on a site. This course includes theory elements, with tests being conducted on each.
- 2 Day – Novice Course
- 1 Day – Novice Course (certain Health and Safety qualifications allow delegates to attend day 2 only. Contact us for more details)
- 1 Day – Refresher Course (to renew a current card).
A maximum of 8 delegates can attend this course.
Upon successful completion of the initial course and tests, delegates will be issued with an MPQC Level 2 Award in Understanding Safe Working for Contractors in Extractives and Building Products Industries Sites. This is a life long qualification. Delegates will be registered with MPQC (Mineral Products Qualifications Council) and issued with an SPA (Safety Pass Alliance) Contractor Safety Passport, valid for 3 years. To maintain their card and registration with MPQC, delegates are required to complete a 1 Day Refresher Course every 3 years.
This course can take place at our training centre in Bo’ness, West Lothian or on a site, subject to onsite requirements
