Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck
Vehicle Mounted Lift Trucks are usually mounted on the rear of a vehicle or its platform. They can be disconnected and used to off-load their vehicle, often being able to operate on rough ground. They can also be used in places where accessibility is a challenge, such as on construction sites.
We offer certification on the Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck from the following awarding bodies: NPORS, RTITB.
RTITB/NORS Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate a Vehicle Mounted Lift Truck. This course includes theory and practical elements, with tests being conducted on each.
Duration
The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the delegates attending. Typically, these are:
- 5 Day – Novice Course
- 3 Day – Experienced Operator Course (no previous certification)
- 1 Day – Refresher Course (proof of previous certification is required).
Attendee Numbers
A maximum of 3 delegates can attend this course.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the RTITB tests, delegates will be registered on the NORS database and issued with an RTITB/NORS Operator Card and Certificate, valid for 3 years. To maintain their card and registration with NORS, operators are required to complete a 1 Day RTITB/NORS Refresher Course every 3 years.

NPORS Lorry Mounted Lift Truck (N004)
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate a Lorry Mounted Lift Truck. This course includes theory and practical elements, with tests being conducted on each.
Duration
The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the delegates attending. Typically, these are:
- 5 Day – Novice Course
- 2 Day – Experienced Worker Course (experienced but no previous certification, includes training)
- 1 Day – Experienced Worker Tests (experienced but no previous certification, no training provided)
- 1 Day – Refresher Course (to renew a Traditional NPORS Operator Card).
Attendee Numbers
A maximum of 3 delegates can attend this course.
Certification
NPORS Operator Card (Traditional) – Valid for 3 years. To maintain their card and registration with NPORS, operators are advised to complete a 1 Day NPORS Refresher Course every 3 years.
NPORS CSCS Operator Card (Construction Industry) – Valid for 2 years (non-renewable). Operators are required to complete a Vocational Qualification (VQ) and upgrade to an NPORS Competent Operator Card. This card is then renewed every 5 years. Please contact us for more information.
