SQA Level 2 Award – Working in High Risk Confined Spaces
A high risk confined space is an area where a specified hazard may be present. Access may involve complex procedures and there will be work specific controls and rescue arrangements. The use of self-contained open circuit breathing apparatus and all other confined space equipment will be required.
We offer certification on Working in High Risk Confined Spaces from the following awarding body: SQA.
SQA QCF Level 2 Award – Working in High Risk Confined Spaces
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely work in a High Risk Confined Space environment. This course includes theory and practical elements, with tests being conducted on each.
The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the delegates attending. Typically, these are:
- 3 Day – Novice Course
- 1 Day – Refresher Course (proof of previous certification is required).
A maximum of 6 delegates can attend this course the novice or refresher.
Upon successful completion of the tests, delegates will be registered on the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) database and issued with an SQC (Scottish Qualifications Certificate). A 1 Day Refresher Course is recommended every 3 years.
This course can take place at our training centre in Kirkintilloch, or at a location of your choice, subject to onsite requirements.
