Work at Height

Work at height can be defined as work carried out in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury.   To reduce the risk of falling from height, work should be properly planned, supervised and carried out by a competent person, using the correct equipment.

We offer certification on Working at Height from the following awarding bodies: PASMA, NPORS.

PASMA Work at Height (Essentials)

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge needed to safely work at height.  This course includes a theory element, with a test being conducted at the end.

Duration

The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the delegates attending.  Typically, these are:

  • ½ Day – Novice Course
  • ½ Day – Refresher Course.

Attendee Numbers

A maximum of 12 delegates can attend the novice or refresher course.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the PASMA test, delegates will be issued with a PASMA Certificate, valid for 5 years.  To maintain their certificate and registration with PASMA, delegates are required to complete a ½ Day PASMA Refresher Course every 5 years.

Location

This course can take place at our training centre in Bo’ness, West Lothian or at a location of your choice, subject to onsite requirements.

NPORS Safe Working at Height (N404)

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge needed to safely work at height.  This course includes a theory element, with a test being conducted at the end.

Duration

The duration of the course depends on the experience level of the delegates attending.  Typically, these are:

  • ½ Day – Novice Course
  • ½ Day – Refresher Course (to renew a Traditional NPORS Operator Card).

Attendee Numbers

A maximum of 10 delegates can attend the novice or refresher course.

Certification

NPORS Operator Card (Traditional) – Valid for 3 years.  To maintain their card and registration with NPORS, operators are advised to complete a ½ Day NPORS Refresher Course every 3 years.

Location

This course can take place at our training centre in Bo’ness, West Lothian or at a location of your choice, subject to onsite requirements.
